If you are interested in your child joining Beavers, Cubs or Scouts, or you would like to volunteer as a leader, helper or non-uniformed supporter, please use the Contact Us form.
We can tell you more about where and when the group meets and what we get up to.
Is Scouting suitable for me?
Scouting is for everyone, no matter what their age is. If you have any questions about accessibility, have a chat with one of our leaders. By being upfront about additional needs from the start, we can work together to make sure everyone can join in the fun on their own terms.
Is there a waiting list?
Lots of young people are itching to join in, so you might need to wait for a space to become available.
If you get in touch via our Contact Us form we will get back to you and let you know if there is a list and how long the wait might be.
What should i wear?
Once your child has had time to settle in, they will need to get a uniform to wear during meetings and on trips away. You can buy uniform items from the Scout Shop, which they pair with their section scarf which we provide. Uniforms are slightly different for each section. You can find details on the individual section bages on our menu.
How much does it cost?
The cost of going to Beavers, Cubs or Scouts is a basic fee to cover the cost of the upkeep of the HQ where we meet and can be collected weekly, monthly or termly. Contact us or speak to one of out leaders to find out more.
Trips, camps and activities that take place away from the usual meeting place may be charged separately, but we will let you know if that is the case
Scouting is designed to be an affordable way to learn lots of new skills through a single membership. Nobody should feel excluded because of money worries. If you are concerned about costs, you can speak to one of our leaders in confidence, to see what we can do to help. In most cases, support is available to make sure nobody misses out.
