What are Scouts?
Scouts are 10 to 14 1/2 year old boys and girls. The Scout Section is one of the five Sections that make up The Scout Association, leading up to the Explorers.
Our Scout troop meet on a Friday during term time between 7:00pm and 9:00pm.
What do they wear?
Scouts have their own smart, practical uniform comprising a teal green shirt, Group scarf and a woggle to hold it in place, and trousers.
What do they do?
The Scouts offer a great outdoor programme and ensure that their members get a varied and balanced programme. Activities such as pioneering, orienteering, hiking, climbing and many other fun things.
Scouting in general is also about caring and sharing and often help their local community in various ways.
After a few weeks of going to troop meetings, a Scout will make their Scout Promise, thereby officially joining the Scout Section. This also makes them a Member of the Worldwide Scout Movement, which has a Membership of over 25 million.
